Are we living in a computer simulation?
Google Street View (GSV) has the invisible cubic of contents as a reference of shapes and objects to create real user experience. Each 360-image morph to the next one. This process can be captured synthetically. So, technically these are not glitches, but the metaphor on discussion about the simulation.
Google Earth is based on the real world but could be categorized as one of the models in Virtual Reality. Creating this virtual world in the computer, require fully deconstruction and new construction. Glitches reveal part of the technical complexities. If, we are living in a computer-generated reality or simulation as some physicists believe, then, VR would be interface of our universe. Purposes of deconstruction are analyzing and evaluating. We are in the learning process to know how our reality has been created.
Google Street View photos and Google services have been used on this project.
